A little history on the Harry Potter book series, Our story begins in “ Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone” where we meet 10 year old boy named Harry James Potter. Harry lives with his Aunt Petunia (his mother’s sister), Uncle Vernon and Cousin Dudley after being left on their doorstep by Professor Dumbledore, because as far as he knows his parents were killed in a car crash when Harry was just a baby. On the eve of Harry’s 11th birthday Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds of Hogwarts appears to deliver Harry’s acceptance letter from Hogwarts and to help him collect all of his school supplies. It is here that our story truly begins! - Harry learns that he is a Wizard and part of a world full of magic what’s more is that he is famous among the wizarding community, because when he was just a baby he defeated the most powerful dark wizard the world has ever known named “Lord Voldemort” known as the “Dark Lord” or “ He Who Must Not Be Named” and that during this attack Harry’s parents Lily and James were killed trying to protect Harry. When Harry arrives at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry he meets  Ronald Weasley (Ron) and Hermione Granger, throughout the book series the trio of friends go on many adventures and dangerous pursuits to try and defeat Lord Voldemort who has made it his soul mission in life to kill Harry Potter and become Immortal and as a result of this gain control over the wizarding world. For the most part Professor Dumbledore is on the sidelines watching out for Harry as the story progresses through the books a father/son friendship develops between them it is this relationship and the similarities of Dumbledore as a Godlike Character with Harry playing the part of Christ that this webpage will focus on.
